Activitsts block crude-by-rail facility, Richmond

Protesters locked to fence in front of rail facilityOn Thursday, Sept. 4th, activists chained themselves to the gates of the Kinder Morgan rail terminal in Richmond. They were protesting the BAAQMD permit allowing crude by rail into Richmond without public review. See KPIX video below.

The protesters represented Forest Ethics, Sunflower Alliance, 350BayArea, Sierra Club,  Asian Pacific Environmental Network, Benicians for a Safe and Healthy Community, CRUDE (Crockett Rodeo United to Defend the Environment), Martinez Environmental Group, Communities for a Better Environment and Rainforest Action Network.
