gfcoalition2.jpgSB 4 requires the Department of Conservation's Division of Oil, Gas & Geothermal Resources to go through the CEQA process as it creates rules for fracking in CA. The CEQA process involves writing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) in order to provide the public with detailed information regarding any potential impacts associated with fracking & other well stimulation treatments in California. On January 14th, DOGGR published a Draft EIR and opened the public review period for the EIR which lasts until March 16, 2015. During the comment period, DOGGR will conduct six public comment meetings throughout California. This meeting is the third. For more information about the meetings, you can click here.
