2014 Our Power National Convening

our-power-logotype.jpgThe 2014 Our Power National Convening will unite local and national frontline communities, community-based organizations, labor unions, climate activists and other allies to advance a Just Transition strategy.

The Convening will focus on bringing together frontline communities impacted by fossil fuel infrastructure projects like crude- and coal-by-rail, refinery expansions and pipelines. It will emphasize community-led, solution-oriented strategies.

The Convening Schedule
We have planned two days of plenaries and workshops with activists from across the country, and a third day focused on developing strategies.

A fourth day, Saturday, August 9, is a day of action that includes a commemoration of the Chevron explosion, demonstrations of  Just Transition projects, and an “Unplug the Empire” concert co-sponsored with Urban Tilth.
