Silkwood Salon: The Ethics and Impacts of Climate Change in Developing Countries, Monday, Oct. 6

Jency James is a senior Environmental Studies major at Saint Mary's College in Moraga. Last January, she and 13 other students traveled to Nicaragua with two professors to explore "the ethics and impacts of climate change in developing countries."

Jency will speak about the experiences and lessons learned on her 28-day journey, including a homestay visit in a rural village, studying the effects of climate change on an agro-forestry farm and a nature preserve, and hiking up an active volcano, all leading up to the conclusion that climate change is truly a global issue.
