Urgent message to Air District: Act now to cut carbon emissions

bay-area-from-space-300.jpgThe mission of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District is to “protect and improve public health, air quality, and the global climate.” Yet it resists directly limiting green house gases (GHGs) from stationary sources, instead relying on strategies that are beneficial but slow to take effect.

Sign a petition urging the Air District board to direct staff to cap refinery GHG emissions, require industries and new buildings to install cleaner technologies, and adopt other measures that will quickly begin to decarbonize the Bay Area.
